THE HAIR OF YOUR STARTS HERE.
Invisible Bead Extensions was specifically designed for fine/thin hair. The method is designed to:
prevent damage to the client's hair and scalp from tension, over-direction, and haphazard installs typically seen in other methods
prevent client discomfort due to the contact of beads on the scalp and the common "clamp and crank" beading approach found elsewhere
prevent the lack of versatility and styling options that clients wearing beaded rows experience. Exposed beads, bonds, and braids tend to be visible when wearing hair up with other methods.
Hand-Tied Hair Extensions allow you the option to add length and fullness, without the hassles of glue and tape.
At The Velvet Edge, we use Invisible Bead Extensions.
We believe in The IBE Method because it allows us to give our clients the best in hand-tied extensions without the problems that other extension methods don't address.
With IBE, all stylists who become certified must first be accepted into the program. Things like experience, intentions, and goals are taken into consideration. Every stylist must train directly through the company, learn one-on-one with a mentor, and invest thousands of dollars into the education program. The training is months long and certain benchmarks must be met before a stylist is moved through to the next level. Once an assessment is passed, IBE Extensionist Certification is granted.
With Invisible Bead Extensions, no stylist can train another in the method.
What does this all mean for you, the client?
You can rest assured that your stylist is properly trained in how to apply your extensions in a way that will not cause pain, damage to your scalp, or breakage to your hair. She will be fully trained in helping you to care for your extensions at home, and in helping you determine the right length, density, and fit for you.
Are they really invisible?
Yes! with the IBE Method, you don't see the beads at all. The Extensions are installed in a way that allows for complete discretion.
How long do they last?
Invisible Bead Extensions need to be maintained every 6-8 weeks. They grow out seamlessly and because of the installation method, there is no pulling, tangling, or matting at the root.
Can I shampoo and condition like normal?
Yes. Although it's important to take your stylist's advice on what types of products to use, you can shampoo and condition like normal. You don't need to worry about the conditioner loosening your extensions.
Can I wear my hair in a ponytail?
Yes. Your stylist will place your extensions in a way that ensures they are completely invisible, even when wearing your hair up. With IBE, your styling options are completely versatile.
Can I swim with IBE?
Yes. It is recommended that you wear your hair in a loose braid while swimming so your extensions don't tangle, and using a detangling spray and gentle brush afterward.
How much do they cost?
The cost for your extension service will be calculated at a consultation where we will determine the length and number of wefts needed to achieve your desired outcome. You can expect the starting cost to be around $1200.
