Here are some helpful tips, reminders, and things to know until your next visit:
Try to wait 48 hours until you shampoo the first time after getting color or a toner. This helps your color settle in and will add more longevity.
If you've had a lightening service, remember that your hair is most fragile when it's wet. Be careful when brushing and towel-drying.
Remember to towel-blot before you condition. This will help your hair to absorb as much beneficial moisture as possible.
WHEN TO RETURN?
Here's a general rule of thumb on when to return for services (your stylist's suggestion is still the best guideline):
Highlights without a root shadow 6-8 weeks
Highlights with a root shadow or smudge 10-12 weeks
Toner or Glossing 8 weeks
Full root coverage 6-8 weeks
Haircut 12 weeks
